Anass Salah-Eddine is embarking on a new chapter in his football career with the Moroccan national team, following years of impressive performances in European leagues. National coach Walid Regragui announced the left-back's first call-up to the Atlas Lions squad in preparation for friendly matches against Mozambique and Uganda.

Born on January 18, 2002, in Amsterdam, Netherlands, Anass Salah-Eddine has Moroccan roots tracing back to the Tinghir province. Despite growing up in the Netherlands, his connection to Morocco remained strong, leading him to choose to represent the national team after FIFA approved his change of sporting nationality, having previously played for the Netherlands at various youth levels.

Salah-Eddine began his football journey at amateur clubs in Amsterdam before joining the AZ Alkmaar academy, where he spent three years developing his skills. He later moved to Ajax Amsterdam in 2018.

Salah-Eddine signed his first professional contract and participated in the UEFA Youth League with the U19 team under coach John Heitinga, delivering impressive performances. He then made his professional debut with Jong Ajax in January 2020 against Jong PSV.

During the 2021-2022 season, Salah-Eddine became a regular for Jong Ajax and scored his first goal against Roda JC. He was also called up to train with the first team under Erik ten Hag, making his Eredivisie debut in May 2022 against Vitesse Arnhem. In August 2022, he renewed his contract with Ajax until 2025 and moved on loan to FC Twente, where he stood out for his speed and attacking contributions.

Subsequently, the player moved to Italian club AS Roma before being loaned again to PSV Eindhoven for the 2024-2025 season to gain further experience and compete at the highest levels. Anass Salah-Eddine is expected to make his debut in the Atlas Lions jersey during the current November training camp, aiming to bolster the national team's left flank with his tactical discipline and attacking prowess.
