Enrique on Hakimi's Injury: "Unfortunate, But This is Football; We'll Know More Tomorrow"
Paris Saint-Germain coach Luis Enrique expressed his deep regret over the injury sustained by Moroccan international Achraf Hakimi during his team's 2-0 defeat to Bayern Munich in the fourth round of the Champions League.
Speaking at the post-match press conference, Enrique addressed the health status of the injured players, including Hakimi. "We have to wait for the results of tomorrow's examinations to determine the condition of the players' injuries," he stated.
Regarding Ousmane Dembele, Enrique clarified, "As for Ousmane, his injury is not related to his recent one, but he played for the duration you saw."
He concluded by reflecting on Hakimi's situation: "As for Hakimi, this is football; it's a contact sport, and it's unfortunate. It's a difficult situation for the players. I remember, for example, Musiala's injury. Tomorrow will be the day the doctors announce the latest news. I am very tired."
