Tension Erupts Between PSG and Bayern Munich Staff Over Hakimi Injury
Tension and altercations erupted in the corridors of the Parc des Princes stadium following the conclusion of the first half of the match between Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich.
Footage broadcast by French channel Canal+ showed an initial skirmish between members of both teams as players and technical staff headed back to their dressing rooms. Luis Campos, Paris Saint-Germain's sporting advisor, appeared visibly enraged.
The tension stemmed from the injury sustained by Achraf Hakimi, which occurred after a violent tackle from behind by player Luis Diaz. This was compounded by protests from Bayern Munich players and coaching staff regarding the decision to send off the Colombian player.
Hakimi left the pitch in tears on the night of his 27th birthday. The injury occurred just a month and a half before the start of the Africa Cup of Nations 'Morocco 2025'.
