AS FAR Defeats Difaâ Jadidi (2-1) to Join Maghreb Fez at the Top

FAR Rabat secured a crucial 2-1 victory over visitors Difaâ Hassani El Jadidi in their match played this Thursday evening, as part of Week 22 of the Professional League.

The military team entered the encounter with great determination to achieve victory and continue their pursuit of the top spot. They succeeded in this when Khalid Ait Ourkane opened the scoring in the 33rd minute, giving the home side the lead by the end of the first half.

In the second half, Difaâ Hassani El Jadidi managed to equalize through Abdellah Ez-Zayani, who scored in the 57th minute, bringing the game back to square one and intensifying the competition between the two sides.

FAR Rabat's response was not long in coming, as Hamza Khabba successfully scored the winning goal in the 71st minute, capitalizing on his team's pressure and desire to secure all three points.

With this victory, FAR Rabat increased their points tally to 44, joining Maghreb Fez at the top of the Professional League standings. Difaâ Hassani El Jadidi, meanwhile, remains on 30 points in sixth place.
