Saibari After Eredivisie Best Player Award: "95% of This Achievement Belongs to My Family"
Moroccan international Ismael Saibari expressed his delight after being crowned the Best Player in the Dutch League for the 2025-2026 season, emphasizing the special significance of this award for him. The Moroccan player stated in a press release: “I am very happy with this award; it is the first ESPN award I have received, so I don't need a large cabinet for awards just yet.”
The 24-year-old spoke with great emotion about the role his family played in his football career, stressing that the greatest credit for his current success goes to them. He added: “My family has been with me from the beginning, and they know all the sacrifices and hard work we put in to reach this moment, so this award is for them too.”
Speaking about his family's contribution to this achievement, Saibari said: “95% of this award goes to my family, because the discipline and mentality I have are thanks to them, while the other 5% is what I provided on the field.”
Regarding the season he had with PSV Eindhoven, the Moroccan international affirmed that winning the league title for the third consecutive time was not as easy as some might think. He explained that the team achieved remarkable statistics this season, most notably scoring over 100 goals for the third season in a row and securing a significant points difference over their closest competitors.
Saibari concluded his statements by emphasizing his full focus on upcoming challenges, especially with the impending announcement of the Moroccan national team's final squad, in addition to the anticipated participation in the Club World Cup.
