Arbeloa: 'We Go Into El Clásico With Great Ambition to Win'
Real Madrid coach Álvaro Arbeloa stated that his team's goal is to defeat rivals Barcelona in El Clásico. The match will take place tomorrow, Sunday, at Camp Nou (20:00 GMT+1), as part of La Liga's 35th round.
Regarding the €500,000 fine imposed on Valverde and Tchouaméni after their altercation, Arbeloa said: "I am proud of the decisive step the club has taken, and I will not put my team's players at risk."
He continued, explaining: "If you want to blame someone, blame me, because I am responsible for everything at Real Madrid."
He added: "I will not allow anyone to say that the players do not respect me. That has never happened, not even once. There are many lies."
Arbeloa concluded his remarks on El Clásico: "I expect a great match against a strong opponent who is performing exceptionally well. We look forward to playing in a match that generates immense excitement worldwide. We will go there with great ambition, which is to achieve victory."
