Real Madrid issued a new official statement today, Friday, regarding the crisis that erupted between its players Federico Valverde and Aurélien Tchouaméni, following incidents during a training session this week.
The Royal Club explained in its statement that the players appeared before the official responsible for the internal investigation, where they expressed "their complete regret" for what happened. Real Madrid confirmed that Valverde and Tchouaméni expressed their readiness to accept any punishment decided by the club. The management then announced a financial fine of €500,000 on each player, considering the matter closed after the completion of internal procedures.
The Spanish club had announced yesterday, Thursday, the opening of a disciplinary investigation against the players following the altercation that occurred during training.
