Paris Saint-Germain to Face Arsenal in Champions League Final; Match Kicks Off at 17:00 (GMT+1)
The finalists for the 2025-2026 UEFA Champions League season have been determined following the semi-final matches held yesterday, Tuesday, and today, Wednesday.
The 71st edition of the Champions League final will bring together French side Paris Saint-Germain and their English opponents Arsenal on Saturday, May 30, at 17:00 (GMT+1). The match will take place in the Hungarian capital, Budapest, at the Puskás Arena, which has a capacity of over 67,000 spectators.
According to an announcement by UEFA before the start of the season, this year's final is scheduled to kick off earlier, at 18:00 Central European Time (17:00 GMT+1), a change from previous seasons when matches typically started at 21:00 (CET).
UEFA explained that the decision aims to enhance the experience for fans, teams, and host cities by streamlining organizational and logistical aspects. Additionally, it seeks to create a more suitable atmosphere for families and children to attend the biggest club match.
The European governing body noted that the new timing will help fans traveling from outside the host city to make better use of public transport after the match, ensuring a safer and more comfortable return from the stadium.
It was also affirmed that host cities would benefit economically from the decision, as it would allow fans more time to celebrate after the match, positively impacting commercial and tourism activities.
