Paris Saint-Germain Eliminates Bayern Munich to Reach Champions League Final
French club Paris Saint-Germain has qualified for the UEFA Champions League final after a 1-1 draw against German giants Bayern Munich in the second leg of their semi-final clash. The match took place on Wednesday evening at the Allianz Arena, with the first leg having ended 5-4 in favour of PSG.
The game started with high intensity from the opening minutes. In the 3rd minute, Ousmane Dembélé successfully found the back of Manuel Neuer's net after Khvicha Kvaratskhelia skillfully broke through from the left flank and delivered a perfect pass to his teammate.
Following this early goal, Bayern Munich took control of the game, pushing for an equalizer. The intensity escalated in the 31st minute when the ball appeared to strike João Neves' hand inside the penalty area, but the referee did not award a penalty, much to the anger of Bayern's players and staff.
In the second half, Bayern tried every possible way to penetrate the Parisian visitors' defense but found it extremely difficult to beat goalkeeper Matvei Safonov. Harry Kane eventually managed to score an equalizer in the 90+4 minute, but it came too late, as the referee blew the final whistle, confirming the 1-1 draw.
Paris Saint-Germain will face Arsenal in the Champions League final. Arsenal secured their spot by overcoming Atlético Madrid with a 2-1 aggregate victory over both legs.
The Champions League final is scheduled for Saturday, May 30th, at 17:00 GMT+1. It will be held in the Hungarian capital, Budapest, at the Puskás Arena, which boasts a capacity of over 67,000 spectators.
