Winners to Hicham Ait Mana: "You Have the Choice, But Wydad Fans Decide, and Accountability Awaits."
The "Winners" ultras group, supporters of Wydad Athletic Club, have called on club president Hicham Ait Mana to submit his resignation along with the other members of his executive board. This escalating move reflects the extent of anger within the club's environment.
In a statement, the group recalled its previous stance on the presidential race, asserting: “We, Winners 2005, declare that we stand at an equal distance from all presidential candidates, that we do not support anyone against another, and that we reject any exploitation of the group's name to serve anyone's interests.”
The "Winners" added that this clarification aims to “refute the claims of those with 'fish memories' and those whose only concern is to betray the group, whether for livelihood or gratification.”
The Wydad group continued in its statement: “As for today, without preamble or listing all the managerial crimes committed and being committed against our club, we call on Hicham Ait Mana and the members of his board to submit their immediate resignation and make way for those capable of steering Wydad's ship to safety.”
The group clarified that “in case of stubbornness and non-response, the call will shift its compass towards the club members for an extraordinary general assembly to dismiss the president and his board and appoint a caretaker committee until the next general assembly.”
It also stressed that the current phase requires “the cohesion and unity of the club members' institution for a single goal: Wydad,” highlighting that “the current division has weakened the institution and prevented it from fulfilling its assigned roles.”
The "Winners" concluded their statement with a direct message: “Hicham Ait Mana: You have the freedom of choice, and Wydad's fans alone hold the power of decision, and whatever your choice, know that accountability is inevitable.”
