Benchrifa: Wydad is My Home Club, We Won't Surrender and Will React for Titles
Mohamed Benchrifa, coach of Wydad AC, commented on his team's 1-0 defeat to Renaissance Zemamra in matchday 18 of the Professional League, asserting that he will not give up and will strive to pull the team out of its negative results spiral.
During the post-match press conference, Benchrifa stated: "Wydad is my home club, the club with which I won titles, and the one that made my name. That's why when officials and fans contacted me, I answered the call. The fans love the name Benchrifa, so I must take responsibility, as this club's favor upon me is immense."
Regarding the team's performance against Renaissance Zemamra, he added: "There is improvement, and the team is starting to show an identity in how they play out from the back. This team plays for titles, and Wydad fans always play for championships. We will not surrender; the team wins titles, and there will be a reaction. We will try to get out of these negative results."
The same speaker concluded: "We created a number of chances against Renaissance Zemamra and reached the opponent's goal on several occasions, but this is football. However, the mental factor remains crucial."
