Raja Announces Match Against Difaâ El Jadidi to Be Played Behind Closed Doors, Reveals Ticket Refund Details
Raja Club Athletic has announced that its anticipated match against Difaâ Hassani El Jadidi will be played without spectators. This decision comes in compliance with a ruling by the Central Disciplinary Committee of the National Professional Football League, amidst the exceptional circumstances currently affecting competitions.
The Green Eagles confirmed in an official statement that this decision follows a significant demand from their supporters for tickets, with over 19,000 tickets sold in a short period. This reflects the strong bond between the fans and their team, and their continuous commitment to supporting it.
The club stated that, in its commitment to protecting fan rights, a unified mechanism for ticket refunds has been adopted. This mechanism was developed in coordination with Sonarges (the National Company for the Realization and Management of Sports Facilities) and the official platform "Tadakir".
The statement added that the ticket refund process will be conducted exclusively via the digital platform, starting tomorrow, Sunday, at 8:00 PM. Fans can initiate the refund by accessing their personal account, selecting the relevant ticket, and activating the refund option.
The club's communiqué further noted that affected individuals will receive an email containing details of the refund procedure and specified deadlines, urging fans to check their email, including spam folders.
The Green Eagles clarified that the deadline for submitting refund requests is 15 days from the date of the announcement. The club also expressed its deep appreciation to its members, season ticket holders, and corporate partners for their continuous support.
Raja concluded its statement by expressing regret for depriving its fans of attending this crucial match, affirming that supporters remain the beating heart of the team, and calling for continued unity around the club during this phase, which demands greater cohesion and determination.
The Disciplinary Committee had previously issued a series of punitive sanctions following recent events during the match against AS FAR. These included Raja Club Athletic being penalized to play three matches without spectators, and AS FAR five matches. Raja's sanction begins with the upcoming match against Difaâ Hassani El Jadidi. Additionally, both clubs were fined 200,000 Moroccan Dirhams each due to the behavior of their respective fans during the game.
