League Sanctions AS FAR with Five Matches Behind Closed Doors, Raja with Three, and Imposes 200,000 Dirham Fine

The Central Disciplinary Committee of the National Professional Football League announced on May 1, 2026, a series of disciplinary decisions against FAR Rabat and Raja Casablanca. These decisions followed the acts of hooliganism that accompanied their match, based on reports from the match referee and delegate.

The committee clarified that the severity of the incidents, which included acts of violence, vandalism of some equipment and facilities at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex in Rabat, and reported injuries, necessitated strict disciplinary measures.

The committee ruled that FAR Rabat must play five matches behind closed doors, while Raja Casablanca will play three matches without spectators. These penalties are to be applied immediately.

Additionally, a financial fine of 200,000 Moroccan Dirhams was imposed on each club due to the conduct of their fans during the encounter.

The committee concluded its decision by confirming the possibility of appealing the ruling in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations.
