Fadlu After Clasico Defeat: 'Most Refereeing Decisions Were One-Sided, Referee Didn't Let Raja's Attack Finish'
David Fadlu, coach of Raja Club Athletic, expressed his dissatisfaction with the refereeing decisions following his team's 2-1 defeat to AS FAR in Week 17 of the Botola Pro Inwi.
During the post-match press conference, Fadlu asserted that the match was not solely decided on the pitch, indicating that several refereeing decisions significantly impacted the game's flow. Fadlu stated, “Today's match, I feel it was truly outside the pitch, because most of the decisions were in one direction.”
The Raja coach highlighted a controversial incident, explaining that the referee made a mistake by not allowing an attack to continue. He added, “The referee did not let the attack finish as is always the practice. It would have been better to let the attack finish as is customary, and then resort to VAR to confirm whether there was a foul or not.”
He continued, “When we watched the replay, there was no foul on Mathias for the goal scored by Sharara, but unfortunately, the referee stopped play before the end of the attack.”
Fadlu also mentioned that he is working to correct errors within his team, but he emphasized the impact of certain decisions, saying, “I am strict with my team to correct small details, but on the other hand, we cannot ignore some decisions that deprived us of the possibility of scoring a second goal.”
