FAR Rabat Announces Disciplinary Committee Decision Following 'El Clásico' Incidents
FAR Rabat announced on Saturday that it has received the decision from the Central Disciplinary Committee of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF). The decision comes in response to incidents that occurred during the match against Raja Casablanca, which was part of the 17th round of the Professional League.
In an official statement, the club clarified that the decision, issued on May 1, 2026, includes a series of strict disciplinary sanctions, most notably playing five home matches behind closed doors.
The decision also prohibits the team from hosting its matches at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex until the end of the current sports season, with the exception of continental and international fixtures. Furthermore, the committee imposed a fine of 200,000 Moroccan Dirhams (MAD) on the club. FAR Rabat is also obligated to share the cost of repairing damages to the stadium equally with the opposing team, following an expert assessment to evaluate the extent of the losses.
The sanctions did not stop there, as the committee also decided to ban the team's fans from traveling to away matches until the end of the season. This measure aims to curb acts of hooliganism and ensure the safety of matches.
