Terrassa FC Categorically Denies Messi Takeover Reports
Spanish club Terrassa FC has categorically denied recent reports suggesting that Argentine star Lionel Messi is interested in purchasing the club. The club's management refuted a report published by local newspaper "Diari de Terrassa" on the matter. Officials confirmed that they have not entered into any negotiations or direct communication with Messi or any agents representing him to discuss a potential acquisition.
In response to the report, which claimed Messi had considered buying Terrassa as a first option before Cornellà, the club's management clarified that this information is entirely false. Terrassa FC stated: "We categorically deny the veracity of this content, as we have never been in contact with Lionel Messi or any intermediary claiming to act on his behalf." This statement aims to put an end to the speculation generated by the media report within Spanish sports circles.
Conversely, the Spanish club confirmed that it has received a single, serious, and comprehensive offer for the acquisition of its shares. This offer was submitted by interested investors from the Far East. The club stressed that these potential buyers have no connection whatsoever with the Argentine player, while also affirming that the club is continuing its administrative procedures, unaffected by the rumors linking it to Messi's name.
