Luca Zidane Suffers Jaw and Chin Fracture Ahead of World Cup

Spanish club Granada has announced that its Algerian international goalkeeper, Luca Zidane, sustained fractures to his jaw and chin. The injury occurred after a strong collision during his team's match against Almeria in the 37th round of the Spanish Segunda División.

In an official statement, the club clarified that medical examinations, conducted after the goalkeeper suffered a concussion, confirmed additional fractures in his jaw and chin. This necessitates close monitoring of his health in the coming period.

Granada noted that Zidane, along with the medical staff, will determine the appropriate course of treatment in the coming hours, with expectations of possible surgery depending on the evolution of his health condition.

Luca Zidane, son of French football legend Zinedine Zidane, was injured in the 87th minute following a forceful collision with Brazilian forward Talisca Henrique. The incident caused the match to be halted for several minutes before Zidane left the field to applause, heading directly to the hospital for necessary examinations.

Granada's coach confirmed that the goalkeeper was immediately transported to the hospital after experiencing dizziness, where he underwent medical observation in accordance with established protocols for such cases.

This injury comes at a highly sensitive time, particularly with upcoming international commitments, most notably the next World Cup. As the primary goalkeeper for the Algerian national team, Luca Zidane's injury presents a significant challenge for the technical staff, following a series of injuries to goalkeepers within "The Greens."
