Marquinhos: "These Are the Matches We Dream Of, and Hakimi Said He Suffers from Muscle Cramps"
Paris Saint-Germain defender Marquinhos discussed the condition of his Moroccan international teammate Achraf Hakimi following their Champions League semi-final first-leg match against Bayern Munich. Hakimi experienced some discomfort, leading him to leave the field quickly without celebrating the 5-4 victory with his teammates.
Speaking to French channel Canal+ about the match, Marquinhos stated, "Every football fan enjoyed watching this game. On the pitch, it was a real pleasure to play this encounter. These are the matches we dream about all year long."
He added, "Both teams possess a never-give-up and forward-thinking mentality. It was a beautiful football match, and it will be the same in the return leg. We hold a slight advantage, and we must approach the next game with the right mindset to secure the win."
Regarding Hakimi's condition, Marquinhos explained, "He said on the pitch that it was just muscle cramps in his hamstring or leg. We will receive more information later."
Paris Saint-Germain is set to visit Bayern Munich next Wednesday for the Champions League semi-final second leg. The match will take place at the Allianz Arena, kicking off at 8:00 PM (20:00 GMT +1).
