Kompany: "We will face Paris Saint-Germain for the fourth time, and we have experience against them... Enrique is doing an amazing job"
Vincent Kompany, Bayern Munich's coach, affirmed that the anticipated clash against Paris Saint-Germain in the first leg of the Champions League semi-finals will be decided by small details, given the close level of the two teams.
Kompany said during the pre-match press conference: "I can flip the question. What will they do with our attackers? Both teams possess great creativity, whether in terms of positioning or finding solutions. It's about the details, intensity, and energy."
The Belgian coach added: "We will face them for the fourth time now, and we have experience playing against them, but the same applies to our opponents as well."
Kompany also praised his counterpart Luis Enrique, stating: "He is doing an amazing job. A year and a half ago, when we beat Paris Saint-Germain, a large number of journalists were criticizing him, but even then, I sensed the type of team they had and that something special was happening. They were a young team, but they sent a clear message."
He continued: "I wasn't surprised when his teams won the Champions League. It's clear that his teams are characterized by a true collective spirit; his players run and fight, and he succeeds in building this with all his teams, which is a huge credit to him."
The match between the two teams will take place on Tuesday at the Parc des Princes stadium in Paris, starting at 8 PM (GMT+1).
It is worth noting that Kompany will miss the first leg against Paris Saint-Germain due to suspension, a significant blow to the Bavarian team before this anticipated European summit.
