Paris Saint-Germain Bans "Barria Cohortes" Ultras Group Until Season End
French club Paris Saint-Germain has announced the exclusion of the "Barria Cohortes" group, part of its fan association, until the end of the current season. This decision follows the involvement of group members in violent clashes during the team's recent trip to Angers. The action comes just two days after the confrontations, which erupted at a highway rest stop and were initiated by the group, prompting the club to take immediate disciplinary measures to prevent a recurrence of such behavior.
In an official statement, the club clarified its position on these developments, saying: "The club condemns in the strongest terms the incidents that occurred on the sidelines of the travel of some fan groups to Angers." PSG confirmed that the decision to exclude the 80-member group was accepted by the "Collectif Ultras Paris" (CUP), which represents the main umbrella organization for the team's supporters. This ruling will prohibit members of the affected group from entering the stands for the remainder of the current season to ensure the safety of fans and sports delegations.
Regarding the group's future and its potential return to the "Auteuil" stand next season, the club has set strict conditions for any reintegration process. Paris Saint-Germain stated: "The permanent exclusion of members involved in acts of violence will be a fundamental condition for any potential reintegration of the group." This clearly indicates the club's absolute rejection of any disruptive elements among its official fan base in the future.
