Benoun: "Next Match Against AS FAR Will Be Difficult, But We Are Physically Ready and Have a Strong Squad"
Raja Casablanca defender Badr Banoun spoke about the positive impact of the recent break on the players' performance, following their comprehensive 4-1 victory over Fath Union Sport (FUS Rabat) in matchday 16 of the Botola Pro. He also highlighted the team's readiness to face FAR Rabat.
Following the win against FUS Rabat, Banoun stated in press remarks: "Praise be to God for this victory, which came after a long break. The most important thing is that we start the second half of the season with this win, especially in front of our fans and on our home ground. This is a great motivation for us in the upcoming matches."
Regarding the upcoming clash with FAR Rabat, he added: "What we showed against FUS Rabat reflects the significant work we put in during the break with the coach and his staff. Thank God, we implemented many things, and we feel satisfied with both the performance and the result. I believe the next match will be difficult, and we will begin our preparations for it."
On the importance of the upcoming match against FAR Rabat, Banoun emphasized: "Everyone knows that the matches in the second half of the season will be played every two or three days. For this reason, we are physically ready, and we worked on that during the break. Everyone must be prepared. Thank God, we have a large squad, and the levels are close, so any player can be on the field and perform what is required of them."
When asked if the team members had finally grasped Coach Fadlo's tactical approach, Banoun replied: "We cannot know if we succeeded in that from just one match, but what I will say is that we feel satisfied because we applied many things during the break and benefited greatly. The most important thing is consistency in performance, not to be good now and then the opposite in the next match. We hope to continue in this manner and make Raja's fans 'satisfied with us'."
