The new 2026 CAF club ranking, issued by the Confederation of African Football, revealed a strong presence for Moroccan clubs, notably RS Berkane, which secured fourth place, affirming its continental standing in recent years.

Mamelodi Sundowns topped the ranking with 68 points, ahead of Egypt's Al Ahly, who came in second with 66 points. Tunisia's Espérance Sportive de Tunis placed third with 58 points, directly preceding Moroccan side RS Berkane (57 points).

Egypt's Zamalek secured fifth place (49 points), followed by fellow Egyptian club Pyramids FC in sixth (48 points), and then USM Alger in seventh (47 points). AS FAR claimed eighth place with 41 points, making them the second-best Moroccan club in the top ten.

Sudan's Al Hilal (39 points) and Tanzania's Simba SC (38 points) completed the top ten, in a ranking that reflects the dominance of clubs from the continent's North and South.

Regarding other Moroccan clubs, Wydad AC ranked thirteenth with 32 points, a decline compared to their continental presence in previous years. Raja CA came in seventeenth with 17 points.

This ranking reflects RS Berkane's continued continental brilliance, in contrast to the fluctuating results of the two Casablanca giants, while AS FAR continues to solidify its position among the continent's top clubs.
