Morocco Women's National Team Climbs 4 Spots to 62nd in FIFA Rankings
The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) revealed its new women's national team rankings on Tuesday, showing the Moroccan national team advancing four places.
The "Atlas Lionesses" now sit at 62nd globally and 4th continentally, trailing only Nigeria, South Africa, and Ghana.
The Morocco women's national team recently drew 1-1 with Mali last Friday in a friendly match, part of their preparations for the 2026 Women's Africa Cup of Nations, which Morocco will host.
The "Atlas Lionesses'" progress in the new FIFA rankings follows their identical 3-0 victories over Cape Verde and Tanzania in friendly matches held on March 7 and April 13, respectively.
