According to the award organizers, Baouf was selected among the contenders for this prestigious individual accolade, in recognition of his remarkable performance and significant impact on his team's results throughout the season.
This nomination is a testament to the strong output delivered by the Moroccan player, who has established himself as one of the most prominent rising stars in the league, thanks to his consistent technical and physical presence.
Baouf delivered exceptional defensive performances that significantly contributed to Cambuur securing second place in the Dutch Second Division standings with 73 points, with six rounds remaining in the 2025-2026 season.
