Moroccan international Ismael Baouf, a player for Dutch club Cambuur, has expressed his ambition to participate in the 2026 World Cup with the "Atlas Lions." He affirmed his readiness to deliver outstanding performances with his team to secure a place in the national squad.

The 19-year-old player, in statements reported by the Dutch newspaper "Voetbalprimeur," conveyed his satisfaction with his contributions this season. He stated, "Things are going well, but I don't consider myself a star at the moment."

Baouf joined Cambuur in the summer of 2025 from Anderlecht, where he quickly established himself as a key player within the team, thanks to his remarkable performances.

These displays have not gone unnoticed, attracting interest from several clubs. However, the player preferred not to delve into details about his future, simply stating, "I can't talk about that; I'm still under contract with my team."

On the international stage, Baouf previously won the U20 World Cup with the Moroccan national team, describing that moment as the most beautiful in his career so far. He recalled, "Those were exceptional moments, huge celebrations, and millions of fans in the streets; it was unforgettable."
