Emotional Santos: "We Deserve to Reach the Final; Morocco Boasts Two High-Level CAF Champions League Clubs"

Alexandre Santos, head coach of AS FAR, expressed immense joy over his team's historic achievement of qualifying for the CAF Champions League final, appearing visibly emotional and tearful after the match.

Speaking to beIN Sports, an emotional Santos said: "RS Berkane showed they are a team worthy of being in the final, and this confirms that Morocco possesses two very high-level clubs in the CAF Champions League."

He added: "The match was extremely difficult, but frankly, we deserved to qualify for the final because we tried to attack and look for goals."

Santos concluded: "We had to close down all spaces after conceding the goal, and we succeeded in staying cohesive as a group. We faced all difficulties and delivered a good performance. Reaching the final is every team's ambition."

AS FAR secured their spot in the CAF Champions League final despite a 1-0 defeat to RS Berkane in the second leg, having benefited from their 2-0 victory in the first leg. They are now set to face South Africa's Mamelodi Sundowns in the final.
