This came after he sustained a severe facial injury following a direct collision with Atlético Madrid goalkeeper Juan Musso. Despite heavy bleeding on the pitch, Fermín insisted on continuing to play after receiving necessary treatment, remaining in the match until the 68th minute, even with clear signs of swelling visible on his face due to the impact.
