USM Alger Delegation Arrives in Casablanca Next Thursday, Completes Preparations in El Jadida Ahead of Olympic Safi Clash
USM Alger has chosen to base itself in El Jadida in preparation for their upcoming match against hosts Olympique Safi next Sunday. The fixture is the second leg of the CAF Confederation Cup semi-final.
The Algerian club's delegation is expected to arrive in Casablanca next Thursday via a special flight. From there, they will travel directly by bus to El Jadida, where they will stay until the day of the match.
The first leg between the two teams ended in a goalless draw. The competitive encounter also saw Olympique Safi goalkeeper Hamza El Hamyani sent off by Egyptian referee Amin Omar.
Olympique Safi will need to overcome the absence of their primary goalkeeper in the return leg, especially given the crucial nature of the match, which will determine who qualifies for the continental final.
It is worth noting that Olympique Safi reached this stage after eliminating Wydad AC. They drew 1-1 in the first leg and then secured a 2-2 draw in the return leg at the Mohammed V Complex, thus booking their place in the semi-finals.
