USM Alger's Dehiri: "Draw Against Safi Acceptable, Qualification Not Yet Decided"
USM Alger defender Houssine Dehiri affirmed that the goalless draw against Olympique Safi in the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup semi-final remains "acceptable" given the flow of the match.
Dehiri stated in a press conference: "Thank God for the result, which is acceptable and not negative. The most important thing is that we didn't concede any goals, as letting in a goal would have made the match much more complicated."
He added: "We scored two goals that were disallowed, and we also missed a penalty. However, in these types of matches, it's the small details that make the difference."
He continued: "The players gave their all, and we are satisfied with the performance, even though the result wasn't entirely in our favor."
Dehiri further noted: "Semi-final matches are played over two legs, and there is still the return leg in Morocco, which will decide qualification. Anything is possible there."
Dehiri concluded his statements by saying: "Qualification is not yet decided. We will go to Morocco to play for our full chances and will try to secure the required result."
