Talbi: "Our Focus is on Football, We Will Be Ready for the World Cup"
Moroccan international Shamseddine Talbi affirmed that his focus with the "Atlas Lions" is entirely on football, noting that matters outside the pitch are the responsibility of the federation. Following the 2-1 friendly victory over Paraguay, Talbi stated in a press conference: "I didn't necessarily receive the new information, but what happened has happened, and now it's up to the federation to deal with it."
Talbi added: "As for us, we are focused on football. I simply feel that I am a Moroccan player trying to play for my country and make my country proud of me."
The Sunderland player also commented on the national team's performance in the match, highlighting the positives despite some areas needing improvement: "Regarding the second match, I believe we played a good game."
He continued: "Of course, there are always things to work on, but God willing, we will be ready for the World Cup. I think we started the match well, and it was difficult to find immediate solutions at first, but in the second half, we found solutions, and thank God we scored both goals."
