Wahbi: 'The Stands Are Always Full in Every City We Play In... We Are Very Proud to Represent This Country and Its People'
National coach Mohamed Wahbi spoke about the strength of Moroccan fans and their massive presence supporting the national team in various countries worldwide, noting that this gives him the motivation and ambition not to disappoint them.
During the press conference following Morocco's 2-1 victory over Paraguay, Wahbi stated: "In the stands, it's incredible; no matter which city the Moroccan national team plays in, the stadium is always full."
He continued: "What's more, and truly impressive, is the sight of fans outside the hotel, on the highways, upon arrival at the airport – everywhere we move, regardless of the city. I know this firsthand, as a large number of supporters even traveled to Chile to back the Moroccan youth national team."
He added: "This is proof that all Moroccans today are very proud of this national team and what it represents. We also know what we represent; we represent this nation, and we are very proud to represent this country and its people."
He concluded: "Therefore, we continue with the same ambition not to disappoint anyone, and especially to uphold our values, which will be of paramount importance."
