Getafe Secures Permanent Deal for Martín Satriano Until 2030
Spanish club Getafe has announced the permanent transfer of Uruguayan forward Martín Satriano from French side Olympique Lyon, ahead of the summer transfer window. This move comes after the Madrid-based club decided to activate the purchase option included in the player's loan agreement, which began in January.
Satriano has signed a contract extending for an additional four seasons, keeping him at Getafe until 2030. According to Transfermarkt data, the club paid 6.5 million euros to secure the services of the Uruguayan international on a permanent basis. Getafe confirmed the deal through its official channels, stating: “Getafe CF and Olympique Lyon have reached an agreement for the transfer of Martín Satriano, with the Uruguayan forward signing for the remainder of the current season and four more.”
Since joining La Liga, Satriano has started 10 consecutive matches, scoring three goals, including winning goals against Villarreal and Real Madrid.
This stability in Satriano's career follows previous loan spells at Brest, Lens, and Empoli, after he departed Uruguayan club Nacional for Italian giants Inter Milan in 2020.
