Paraguay Coach Alfaro: Morocco Match Demands Physicality, Few Lineup Changes Planned
Paraguay national team coach Gustavo Alfaro has stressed the significant importance his technical staff places on player readiness ahead of their upcoming friendly against Morocco. He emphasized the need for careful physical management given the tight schedule of matches.
Speaking to the media, Alfaro stated: "The most important thing is to assess the recovery levels, because the match we will play against Morocco will demand the same or even greater physical intensity compared to the game against Greece."
He added: "My intention was to give equal importance to both matches, despite their close proximity, and also to provide an opportunity for all other players to be observed. That was the core idea."
Alfaro further explained: "The plan is not to make a large number of changes. We will only consider them if there are players who might be at risk of physical issues or injuries, which is something beyond our control."
Paraguay is set to face Morocco this coming Tuesday, kicking off at 7:00 PM in Lens, France. This encounter will serve as their final significant friendly match in preparation for the 2026 World Cup finals.
