Paraguay Coach: "Morocco is a World Cup Contender, No Need to Talk About 2030 Edition Because They Are Already Working On It"
Gustavo Alfaro, the coach of the Paraguayan national team, praised the significant development of Moroccan football, asserting that Morocco is not only experiencing a remarkable period currently but is also working on an ambitious football project extending until 2030, with the aim of hosting the World Cup finals.
In media statements, Alfaro said: "Football in Morocco is constantly expanding, and it is moving in the same direction as the national team's performance. I see them as strong contenders in this World Cup, and there's no need to talk about the next World Cup because they are already working towards it."
The same speaker added, criticizing the lack of a future vision within Paraguayan football: "What I hope for is that Paraguay has the same vision. Paraguay is not thinking about 2030."
He continued: "We shouldn't start thinking after this World Cup; we should have started two years ago, because players who are 15, 16, and 17 years old today will be 20, 21, and 22 by 2030."
He concluded: "We cannot start preparing them just two years before the event."
It is worth noting that the Paraguayan national team is continuing its preparations for the anticipated match against Morocco, scheduled for Tuesday, the day after tomorrow, at 20:00 (GMT+1), in the French city of Lens.
