Olympique Safi Two Steps from Glory, Aims to Be Sixth Moroccan Confederation Cup Winner
Olympique Safi is just two steps away from achieving a historic feat: winning the African Confederation Cup title and becoming the sixth Moroccan club to claim this continental trophy.
The Safi-based team successfully reached the semi-finals after overcoming Wydad AC in the quarter-finals. They are now set for a crucial encounter with Algeria's USM Alger, with the winner advancing to the final and continuing their quest for history.
Five Moroccan clubs have previously won the competition: AS FAR, FUS Rabat, Maghreb Fez, Raja CA, and RS Berkane.
RS Berkane is the most decorated team in the competition with three titles, followed by Raja CA with two. FUS Rabat, Maghreb Fez, and AS FAR have each won one title.
Olympique Safi hopes to successfully continue its continental journey, aiming to make a significant mark in Moroccan football history and further strengthen Morocco's presence in this prestigious African competition.
