
North African Union Championship: Morocco U17 Concludes Preparations for Tunisia Clash
The Moroccan U17 national team held its final training session on Monday in preparation for their match against Tunisia on Tuesday. This encounter marks the first round of the North African Union Championship, hosted by Libya, which serves as a qualifier for the Africa Cup of Nations finals.
The match is scheduled to take place at the Benghazi International Stadium, kicking off at 2 PM local time (1 PM Moroccan time).
During the training session, coach Thiago Lima Pereira focused on putting the final touches on the squad ahead of tomorrow's game. Speaking to the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, Pereira stated: “We are committed to putting in maximum effort to ensure ideal preparation for this tournament, with a focus on enhancing communication and cohesion among the players, alongside attention to both physical and psychological aspects.”
He added: “We fully understand the importance of managing the pressure of the first match, especially given the mixed emotions players might experience. We believe that effective psychological management will be a crucial factor, particularly as defending the colors of the Moroccan national team is a unique and exceptional experience for every player.”
