Construction Begins on Agadir's Madanib Stadium: A New Football Facility for City Clubs
Construction has commenced on the rebuilding of Madanib Stadium in the Tikiouine area of Agadir. This significant step aims to bolster the city's sports infrastructure, forming part of broader efforts to provide modern facilities that keep pace with the evolving nature of football and meet the needs of clubs and sports stakeholders.
The Madanib Stadium reconstruction project goes beyond merely renovating an existing pitch; it involves the creation of a comprehensive sports complex spanning approximately 15 hectares. With an estimated capacity of around 15,000 spectators and a total cost nearing 300 million Moroccan Dirhams, the stadium will be equipped to meet the standards of the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) and the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
Key facilities will include covered stands to protect fans from weather elements, private boxes, media areas, modern technical and administrative facilities, and amenities designed to ensure accessibility for people with disabilities. The stadium is expected to be completed in approximately one year, providing a modern venue for matches and training sessions.
The stadium is set to become a vital pillar for local clubs, notably Hassania Agadir and Olympique Dcheira, as well as other teams and sports associations. These entities will benefit from modern infrastructure that meets the demands of contemporary football. Furthermore, the project will expand the city's sports offerings, providing an additional venue capable of hosting matches and training sessions under improved conditions.
The Madanib Stadium project represents a significant investment in the future of football in Agadir. It reflects a strategic direction towards strengthening sports infrastructure to align with the ambitions of clubs and young talent. The new stadium will serve as a modern space contributing to the development of football practices and enhancing Agadir's presence on the national sports scene.
