Paris Saint-Germain Away Tickets for Chelsea Clash Sell Out in Under a Minute
Paris Saint-Germain announced that their allocation of 2,000 tickets for the away section at Stamford Bridge sold out in less than one minute. The tickets were released for the UEFA Champions League round of 16 second-leg match against English club Chelsea, with overwhelming demand leading to bookings closing in record time.
Amidst this high demand, significant frustration emerged among Parisian fans due to a portion of the tickets being allocated within luxury travel packages. Fan Celine expressed her disappointment, stating, "I've always secured my spot on European trips, but not this time. Tickets are now bundled into expensive packages inaccessible to fans like us, and I'm utterly disgusted, to be honest." Her comments reflect the widespread disappointment felt by a large segment of the fanbase.
Regarding sales details, the French club clarified that 90% of the tickets sold were individual tickets priced at 50 euros each. The premium packages accounted for only 10% of the total allocation, offering various options: the Essential category at 490 euros, the Experience category at 1,250 euros, and the Prestige category, priced at 2,900 euros.
Paris Saint-Germain acknowledged the prevailing dissatisfaction, confirming their understanding of the difficult situation given the limited number of available seats, which does not match the significant importance of the anticipated clash on Tuesday evening. The away section at the London stadium is expected to be completely full, as both teams fiercely compete for qualification to the next round of the continental competition.
