Real Madrid Snatch Late Victory, Escape Celta Vigo Trap
Real Madrid narrowly defeated hosts Celta Vigo 2-1 in their match at Balaídos Stadium, as part of Week 27 of the Spanish La Liga.
The Royal Club successfully opened the scoring early, with French player Aurélien Tchouaméni finding the net in the 11th minute. However, Celta quickly responded, scoring the equalizer in the 25th minute through striker Borja Iglesias.
As everyone anticipated the match ending in a draw, Real Madrid snatched all three points when Federico Valverde scored the winning goal in the 90+5th minute.
The match also saw Moroccan player Brahim Díaz start for the first time since last November (in La Liga), before being substituted by coach Álvaro Arbeloa in the 77th minute.
With this victory, Real Madrid increased their points tally to 62, occupying second place, while Celta Vigo have 41 points and sit in sixth position in the La Liga standings.
