
Exclusive: Egyptian Referee Team for Olympique Safi vs. Wydad in African Confederation Cup
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) Referees Committee has appointed an Egyptian officiating team to manage the Moroccan derby match between Olympique Safi and Wydad AC, in the first leg of the Confederation Cup quarter-finals.
International referee Mohamed Marouf will officiate the match, assisted by Mahmoud Abu El Regal and Ahmed Hossam Taha. Amin Omar will serve as the fourth official.
Mahmoud Ashour has been assigned to oversee the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) technology, assisted by Hossam Azab Haggag.
The first-leg match is scheduled for Sunday, March 15, at Stade El Massira, kicking off at 10:00 PM GMT.
The return leg will be held at Mohammed V Complex in Casablanca on Sunday, March 22, at 7:00 PM GMT. The match will be officiated by Mauritian referee Ahmed Imtehaz Hiraal, with Algerian Lahlou Benbraham in charge of VAR, assisted by Tunisian Haythem Guirat.
