League Announces Approval of Regulatory and Legal Amendments to Ensure Professional League Regularity
The National Professional Football League announced a set of new recommendations and regulations following its meeting last Wednesday. These were discussed by the Royal Moroccan Football Federation during its meeting on Thursday, where various organizational and legal recommendations and proposals were presented to ensure the smooth and orderly conduct of national competitions.
Among the most prominent decisions was the adoption of a “medical joker” system for players starting next season. Precise controls for its activation in medically confirmed injury cases were defined, ensuring competitive balance within the national league is not disrupted.
Additionally, the National Chamber for Dispute Resolution and the Central Appeals Committee were granted the authority to shorten the deadlines for ruling on appeals when files are ready. This includes approving the expedited enforcement of appeals that do not meet formal conditions and regulating the procedure for recourse before the Ethics Committee.
The League also approved the draft organizational law for the National Body for Membership and Eligibility Auditing, granting it the status of a mediator in disputes between members and sports associations. Furthermore, the statutes of the National Professional Football League were amended regarding the notice period for the General Assembly, reducing it from 60 days to 15 days.
Concluding the meeting, President Abdeslam Belkchour affirmed that all proposals aim to ensure the national league's timely completion, respecting the match schedule and maintaining the regularity of competitions, despite the challenges faced by the programming committee.
