Khafi Criticizes Refereeing: 'The Free-Kick Awarded to RS Berkane Affected Us; We Hope to Delight Our Fans with One or Two Titles'
Raja Club Athletic player Ismail Khafi criticized the referee's decision to award a free-kick to RS Berkane, which led to their equalizer (1-1) in Wednesday's postponed seventh-round match of the Professional League.
Khafi stated in press remarks: "We were aiming for all three points, and our position in the standings demanded it. We hope to make up for this in upcoming matches. We gave our all, but it wasn't enough to secure a win. We hope to compensate for this draw in Agadir and Safi, God willing, and conclude the first half of the season in a strong position."
Regarding the refereeing, he added: "Referees can make mistakes and can be correct. That particular incident, the free-kick, affected us somewhat. However, we thank God for everything and hope that such situations do not recur in future matches. We aim to make amends for this result in our upcoming fixtures."
Khafi concluded by addressing the fans: "Raja Club Athletic supporters are always present and dedicated. We hope to delight our fans with a title or two."
