Real Madrid's French forward Kylian Mbappe has been confirmed absent from his team's match against Benfica, the second leg of the UEFA Champions League playoff qualifying for the round of 16.
Mbappe had left Real Madrid's final training session yesterday, Tuesday, due to pain in his left knee. His absence was officially confirmed following the announcement of the squad called up for the encounter.
It is worth noting that Real Madrid secured a 1-0 victory in the first leg, with the goal scored by Brazilian Vinicius Junior.
The match is scheduled to take place this evening, Wednesday, at 20:00 GMT, at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.
