Olympique Safi Officially Appoints Tunisian Coach Chokri Khatoui, Replacing Zakaria Aboub
Olympique Safi has officially signed Tunisian coach Chokri Khatoui until the end of the current season, with an option for renewal. He replaces coach Zakaria Aboub.
The decision to sign Khatoui came after Aboub was dismissed from his position following the team's one-nil defeat to Club Meknassi in the Botola Pro 1.
In an official statement, the Safi-based club confirmed that Khatoui, born on February 12, 1968, has accumulated significant coaching experience with several Arab clubs, having previously managed Stade Tunisien, Al-Nasr Benghazi (Libya), and Al-Ahly Benghazi (Libya).
Additionally, Khatoui has experience in the Saudi League with Ohod and Najran, and he has also led the Tunisian Olympic national team. Further details regarding the contract's value were not disclosed.
The Tunisian coach previously faced Olympique Safi this season in the CAF Confederation Cup while he was managing Stade Tunisien. Olympique Safi advanced to the group stage after winning the first leg two-nil and losing the second leg two-one.
