Haaland, Mbappé Lead; El Kaabi Ranks Ninth Among World's Top Scorers in Current Decade
Moroccan international Ayoub El Kaabi has solidified his position among the most prominent international goalscorers, ranking ninth globally in the list of top scorers during the third decade of the 21st century, up to the end of 2025. This classification comes from the International Federation of Football History & Statistics (IFFHS).
The Olympiacos forward has scored 50 goals in internationally recognized continental and global competitions. These goals are distributed between 29 for clubs in continental competitions and 21 for the national team, reflecting his consistent goal-scoring ability and decisive presence in major fixtures.
Norwegian Erling Haaland leads the list with 91 goals, followed by France's Kylian Mbappé with 85 goals, and England's Harry Kane with 82 goals. The ranking also features prominent names such as Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Robert Lewandowski. Victor Osimhen and Mohamed Salah also share the same tally as El Kaabi, with 50 goals each.
The significance of this ranking lies in its exclusive reliance on goals scored in international competitions under the supervision of FIFA and continental confederations, without including domestic league goals. This gives the statistics a competitive dimension, reflecting performance at the highest levels.
