
National Women's Football League Suspends First and Second Division Matches During International Break
The National Women's Football League announced the suspension of professional national championship matches in both its first and second divisions, coinciding with the international break approved by FIFA.
A formal statement addressed to club presidents clarified that this decision will take effect immediately after the 15th round of matches, scheduled for this weekend, with football activities set to resume after the international break concludes.
The League added that the suspension period will run from February 24 to March 7, 2026. This adjustment aligns the national competition agenda with the international schedule, allowing players called up for national teams to join training camps under optimal conditions.
The League also stated that championship competitions are expected to resume immediately after the break, ensuring that matches proceed according to the international calendar and upholding the principle of equal opportunities among all clubs.
