
Patrice Beaumelle Arrives in Tunisia Ahead of Esperance Coaching Role
French coach Patrice Beaumelle arrived in Tunisia on Monday to finalize his contract procedures with Esperance Sportive de Tunis, according to news reports.
The signing of Beaumelle comes as Esperance seeks to have him lead the team for the remainder of the current season, succeeding Maher Kanzari, who was dismissed from his position.
Beaumelle's most recent experience before taking charge of Esperance was with the Angolan national team, which exited the Africa Cup of Nations 'Morocco 2025' in the first round.
Patrice Beaumelle has a notable history in African football, including stints as an assistant to coach Hervé Renard with the national teams of Morocco, Zambia, and Ivory Coast, as well as coaching Algerian club MC Alger.
