PSV Eindhoven Coach Grants Saibari Break After AFCON Participation
PSV Eindhoven coach Peter Bosz has decided to grant his Moroccan players Ismael Saibari and Anass Salah-Eddine a few days of rest, following their participation in the Africa Cup of Nations a month ago.
Speaking at the pre-match press conference ahead of the Volendam clash, Bosz confirmed that Saibari is still physically fit but has shown signs of fatigue and a decrease in activity and alertness. "I noticed that in recent weeks he has received many tackles and fallen to the ground more than once," Bosz stated. "This is related to his focus and activity. He played well last Sunday against Groningen, but I decided before that to give him a rest."
Meanwhile, his teammate Anass Salah-Eddine will also be granted a few days of rest starting next weekend for the same reason, despite having suffered from a foot injury for several weeks. Commenting on Salah-Eddine's situation, Bosz said, "We are monitoring his condition to see if he can be on the bench tomorrow."
