Doubts Surround Saibari's Participation Against Groningen Due to Injury
Moroccan international Ismael Saibari sustained an injury during PSV Eindhoven's match against SC Heerenveen on Wednesday evening, in the quarter-finals of the Dutch Cup. The injury forced him to leave the field at the end of the first half.
Saibari had been experiencing pain throughout the first half after receiving a strong blow in midfield. The technical staff ultimately decided to substitute him at halftime as a precautionary measure.
During the press conference, coach Peter Bosz explained that the player suffered what he described as a "strong muscle contusion." Bosz stated, "He took a blow in midfield and felt significant pain, so I didn't want to take any risks and took him out of the game." He added, "We will wait and see; we don't yet know if he will be ready to participate this weekend."
Ismael Saibari's participation in the upcoming match against FC Groningen remains uncertain, pending developments in his health over the coming days.
