
Real Madrid and UEFA Reach Preliminary Agreement on Super League Disputes
Spanish club Real Madrid announced on Wednesday that it has reached a preliminary agreement with the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) and the European Club Association (ECA) regarding disputes related to the Super League.
Real Madrid clarified in an official statement that the agreement follows months of consultations and discussions between the involved parties. This was done with a focus on developing European club football, respecting the principle of sporting merit, emphasizing the importance of long-term sustainability for clubs, and enhancing the fan experience through the use of technology.
The statement also indicated that this preliminary agreement will contribute to resolving the existing legal disputes between the parties related to the European Super League project, once a final agreement is reached and officially implemented.
